Dealing with Conflict and Pain
1 Corinthians 13:4
[4] Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud
From our desire to have meaningful relationships, we must be willing to work through the difficulty of conflict, pain, misunderstanding and wounds.
This is an ongoing theme in the Scriptures.
• Jacob and Esau – brother against brother conflicts,
• Mary and Martha - sister against sister conflicts,
• Miriam and Moses - sister against brother conflicts,
• Sarah and Abraham - husband and wife conflicts,
• Jacob and Leah - an unloved wife,
• David and Absalom – a father against a son, and
• Peter and Paul - church leadership conflicts.

This Week’s Application -
I will make a determination to deal with conflict and pain according to God’s direction. This week I will seek God’s input into:
- How I might have hurt others and what I should do to make things right.
- How others have hurt me and ask His help to help me choose to forgive.
I will seek help for any pain or hurt that I simply cannot continue to endure.
