1 Corinthians 13:5
[5] …or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged
Relationship Assassin #1:
“does not act improperly.”
Rudeness described: To suffer shame
Agape Love’s defense against rudeness: Be tactful and courteous
Relationship Assassin #2:
“not selfish.”
“Love doesn’t insist on its own way”
Agape Love’s defense against selfish rivalry in relationships:
Relationship Assassin #3:
“not provoked.”
Agape Love doesn’t make rash judgments without knowing all the circumstances.
Agape Love’s defense against rage:
Relationship Assassin #4:
“does not keep a record of wrongs.”
Agape Love doesn’t harbor resentment or the threat of retaliation.
This phrase came from the world of accounting. It literally means, "does not keep books on evil."
Practically, this means agape love does not -
