Facing Moral Failures
1 Corinthians 13:6
[6] It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Psalm 41:9, "Even my friend in whom I trusted, one who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me."
• Noah had promiscuous daughters
• Esau was swindled by his own brother
• Leah lived with a husband who loved another woman
• John Mark abandoned Paul on the first missionary trip
• The Prophet Hosea struggled with an adulterous wife
• Jesus was betrayed by one of his closest followers
Meaningful Relationships:
A. Love and “iniquity” are incompatible
B. Satan will use any vice to disrupt meaningful relationships. Satan cringes at the sight of meaningful relationships, so he sows iniquity any way he can.
2 Peter 2:1-3

Sin Defined:

Galatians 6:1 (NLT)
Dear brothers and sisters, if another Christian is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.
Matthew 18:15 (NLT)
"If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the fault. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.

"Do for others what you would like them to do for you. This is a summary of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

In Joshua 7:19 the exposure of Achan’s sin was cause for rejoicing.
In John 8:44 Jesus tells us that the devil, "Does not stand in the truth…he is a liar."
